Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zjištění úrovně self-managementu u pacientů s diabetes mellitus 2.typu. Pro realizaci výzkumného šetření byl použit dotazník využívající PIH škálu. Dotazníkového šetření se zúčastnilo 90 respondentů z diabetologických ambulancí, přičemž pro zkoumání definovaných hypotéz bylo nutno vyloučit ze souboru 32 účastníků, kteří nesplnili kritéria výzkumu. Výsledky ukázaly, že nebyla nalezena souvislost mezi celkovou úrovní self-managementu a pohlavím, věkem a sociální situací respondentů. Naopak na ni má vliv úroveň vzdělání a finanční situace oslovených. U zvládání vlivu zdravotního stavu na životní styl byla prokázána souvislost s pohlavím a vzděláním. Naopak věk respondentů zde nehrál roli. Výzkumné šetření dále prokázalo, že v oblasti dodržování léčebných opatření není významný rozdíl mezi zkoumanou skupinou žen a mužů. A standardized questionnaire using PIH scale was used for the research survey. The survey was attended by 90 respondents from diabetes clinics, while 32 participants must have been excluded from the data file due to mandatory criteria non-compliance. The results showed that there was no relation found between the overall level of self-management and gender, age or social situation of respondents. However, we found correlation with education level and financial situation of the respondents. The ability to manage the impact of surveyors' health status on the life style correlates with gender and education level, while there was no relation found with their age. The research survey shows that there is no significant difference in the group men or women in medical treatment compliance.
