Cílem této diplomové práce je narativní analýza jihokorejské tvorby režiséra Park Chan-wooka. Podrobně je analyzováno šest snímků natočených mezi lety 2000 a 2009, v nichž lze vysledovat postupný vývoj a variace jednotlivých narativních strategií a Parkova stylu. Teoretickým východiskem je narativní teorie Davida Bordwella obohacená o novější naratologické koncepty Warrena Bucklanda, Charlese Ramireze Berga a Allana Camerona. Práce se zaměřuje na manipulaci chronologií a prostorem příběhu, způsob distribuce příběhových informací s cílem aktivně zapojit diváka, užití subjektivní narace a umělecké motivace v rámci komplexní narativní stavby.The aim of this Master thesis is the narrative analysis of South Korean films by Park Chan-wook. Six of his films made between 2000 and 2009 are analysed in detail to describe the development and variation of narrative strategies and the director's own style. The films are analysed on the basis of David Bordwell's theory of narration and newer narratological concepts of Warren Buckland, Charles Ramirez Berg and Allan Cameron are also used. This thesis focuses on the manipulation of chronology and film space, the plot's way of distributing story information in order to achieve spectator's activity, subjective narration and artistic motivation within the complex narrative structure of Park's films.
