Předkládaná diplomová práce se věnuje translatologické analýze dvou českých překladů Bulgakovova románu Mistr a Markétka. Cílem práce je postihnout strategii a metody obou překladatelů. V úvodních kapitolách se věnujeme životu a dílu Michaila Bulgakova, rozebíráme samotný román Mistr a Markétka, věnujeme se okolnostem jeho vzniku a překladům do češtiny. Dále uvádíme biografii obou překladatelů. Nedílnou součástí práce je také definování teoretických východisek pro translatologickou analýzu v podobě vybraných kapitol z teorie uměleckého překladu. Při samotné analýze překladů porovnáme oba překlady jak ve vztahu k originálu, tak mezi sebou. Pozornost je soustředěna zejména na lexikální stránku jazyka - překlad vlastních jmen, místních názvů, frazeologismů či cizojazyčného lexika. V závěru uvádíme výsledné porovnání a zhodnocení obou překladů.The diploma thesis focuses on translatological analysis of two Czech translations of Mikhail Bulgakov's novel "The Master and Margarita". The aim of this thesis is to capture the strategy and methods of both translators. The introductory chapters are devoted to the life and lifeworks of Mikhail Bulgakov, the novel "The Master and Margarita" itself including the circumstances of its formation and all its translations into Czech language. In the following chapter we state the biography of both translators. The integral part of our thesis is the description of selected problems from the theory of literary translation. During the translatological analysis we compare both translations among themselves and also in respect of the original novel. The focus is mainly on the lexical aspects of the language, such as translation of proper names, place names, idioms or foreign lexicon. In the conclusion we present the final comparision and evaluation of both Czech translations.
