Cílem práce je ukázat možnosti interpretace reálných dat (výsledků šachových utkání) pomocí popisné statistiky a testování hypotéz standardními statistickými metodami. Data jsou shrnuta do tabulek, číselných charakteristik a grafů. Statistická významnost zjištěných poznatků je stanovena pomocí testů hypotéz. Veškeré výsledky jsou dále vysvětleny.The aim of this thesis is to show the possibilities of interpretation of real data (results of chess matches) using descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing via standard statistical methods. Data are summarized in tables, numerical characteristics and graphs. The statistical signifi-cance of findings is determined by testing hypotheses. All results are later explained.
