Diplomová práce se věnuje sakrálnímu prostoru po II. vatikánském koncilu a jeho liturgické funkčnosti. Na začátku vymezuje pojem sakrálního prostoru v kontextu křesťanské tradice a zasazuje celé téma práce do kontextu. Poté následuje výčet požadavků kladených na liturgický prostor jako celek ať už liturgickými knihami nebo dokumenty Magisteria. Další část práce se věnuje rozčlenění liturgického prostoru a charakteristice těchto jednotlivých částí, na kterou navazuje přehled základních dispozičních řešení prostoru s uvedením jejich charakteristických rysů. Práce dále popisuje jednotlivá liturgická místa v sakrálním prostoru, jakými jsou např. oltář, ambon, sedes, křtitelnice a další, a uvádí jejich požadované vlastnosti. Liturgická funkčnost jednotlivých liturgických míst i celku prostoru se neomezuje pouze na skutečnost, aby liturgie mohla proběhnout nebo proběhla hladce, ale poukazuje také na další funkční rozměry, mezi které patří výpovědní, symbolická hodnota. V závěru práce je snaha ilustrovat alespoň některé uvedené myšlenky na příkladu konkrétní sakrální stavby katedrály Krista, Světla.The diploma thesis deals with the sacral space after II. Vatican Council and its liturgical function. In the beginning, I define the concept of sacral space in the context of the Christian tradition and I put the whole theme of work in context. The following is a list of requirements for the liturgical space that meets liturgical books or Magistery documents. Another part of the thesis deals with the division of the liturgical space and the characteristic of these individual parts, which is followed by an overview of the basic dispositional solutions of the space with their characteristics. The work further characterizes the liturgical places in the sacral space, such as altar, ambon, sedes, baptistery etc. The liturgical functionality of the liturgical places and of the whole of the space is not limited to the fact that the liturgy could be performed or performed smoothly, but it also points out to other functional dimensions, including the confes-sional, symbolic value. The end of the thesis is an attempt to illustrate at least some of these ideas on the example of a concrete sacred structure the Cathedral of Christ the Light.
