Cílem diplomové práce je analýza stávajícího vzdělávacího syst mu Tanzanie. První kapitola t to práce je zaměřena na vymezení základních pojmů a zkoumání teoretick ho vztahu mezi vzděláváním a rozvojem. Vzdělávání je jedním z největších motorů rozvoje a Tanzanie na něj klade ji několik dekád veliký důraz. Druhá kapitola obsahuje charakteristiku země, obecnou i ve vztahu k vzdělávání. Popsán je také historický vývoj tohoto sektoru. Stejně jako ostatní země v regionu Tanzanie prošla obdobím kolonizace, a tudí vzdělávání bylo přizpůsobeno evropským mocnostem, konkr tně tedy Británii a Německu. V třetí kapitole jsou analyzovány aktuálních trendy ve vzdělání. Hlavní důraz je kladen především na relevantní data týkající se zápisovosti do škol, gramotnosti, výdajů na vzdělávání, úspěšnosti standardizovaných testů aj. Díky snahám tanzanské vlády se v posledních letech podařilo zvýšit počet přijatých studentů, ale kvalita poskytovan ho studia je stále probl mem. Čtvrtá kapitola reaguje na tyto trendy a identifikuje největší probl my dnešního syst mu tanzansk ho vzdělávání. Dále tak uvádí, jak domácí i zahraniční intervence do toho vzdělávácího syst mu byly v posledních letech vynalo eny. Závěr shrnuje celou práci a dává ucelený pohled na analyzovanou problematiku.i zahranicní intervence do toho vzdelávácího systému byly v posledních letech vynaloženy.The aim of this thesis is to analyse the current educational system in Tanzania. The first chapter of this work is decidated to defining certain terms and the most important definitions and the theoretical relation between education and development. Education is one of the most significant drive of the development and Tanzania has been considering it its top priority in the past years. The second chapter consists of description of the country´s characteristics, both in general and in relation to education. There is also a summary historical events leading to changes in education system. Tanzania as well as other counries underwent the period of colonisation therefore the system of education was adjusted to the need of the European empires, esp. British and German. The third chapter analyses current trends in education. The main emphasis is put on the relevant data regarding the enrollment rate, literacy rate, expenses on education, graduation rate and others. Thanks to the effort the government of Tanzania has been putting towards improving the numbers of the students in schools, the enrollement rate has increased a lot. However the quality of education and the material support in school remain a great challenge. The fourth chapter reacts to the previously described trends and identifies the most pressing issues of today´s education system in Tanzania. Further this chapter includes the main national and international intervention programs that have been implemented in recent years. The thesis is concluded with a recapitulation chapter that sums up the findings.
