Předkládaná práce se zaměří na centrum RKC Žížalka, které svou činnost zaměřuje výhradně na romské děti, ale i na jejich rodiče. Cílem práce je zjistit informace o tom, jak často navštěvují děti RKC Žížalka a zda je navštěvují rádi, dále získat informace, zda jejich rodiče, především matky, se rovněž zapojují do aktivit RKC Žížalka a zda jsou dle jejich názoru aktivy RKC Žížalka dětem ku prospěchu. Pro naplnění cíle práce bude text rozdělen na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V části teoretické bude nejprve představeno romské etnikum s jeho historií a specifiky. Následovat bude vymezení romské rodiny včetně výchovy dětí v romských rodinách a problémy s tím související a značná část textu se bude věnovat problematice vzdělávání romských dětí. Zmíněna bude rovněž problematika volného času a jeho trávení z pohledu důležitosti pro správný vývoj dítěte. V navazující praktické části pak bude proveden rozhovor s rodiči RKC Žížalka a výsledky interpretovány a diskutovány.The proposed thesis will focus on the RKC Žížalka centre, whose activity is directed solely at Romany children and their parents. The purpose of the thesis is to gather information on how often the children visit RKC Žížalka and whether they like visiting it, and further to gather information whether their parents, especially the mothers, are involved in the RKC Žížalka activities and whether they find the RKC Žížalka activities beneficial for their children. In order to fulfil the purpose of the thesis, it will be divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the Romany ethnic group with its history and specifics will be introduced. Then, the definition of a Romany family will be provided, including the upbringing of children in Romany families and the problems connected with it, and a substantial part of the text will focus on the issues of Romany children education. I will also mention the issue of free time and the way it is spend with respect to its importance of the normal development of a child. In the following practical part, an interview with the parents will be conducted and I will interpret and discuss the results.
