Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá možnými rozdíly v rovině jazykové kreativity tlumočníků a tlumočnic v závislosti na jejich příslušnosti k pohlaví. První část této práce je teoretická a obsahuje informace ohledně počátků této genderové lingvistiky, stručnou historii, rozdílné přístupy Robin Lakoffové, Deborah Tannenové, Mary Crawfordové, Janet Holmesové, Jennifer Coatesové, Ann Oakleyové a dalších uznávaných lingvistů a vědců v oboru, jak muži a ženy užívají jazyk, prezentují rozdíly jejich užívání a vysvětlují důvody pro tyto rozdíly. Práce seznamuje čtenáře se základní terminologií a zavedenými teoriemi v oboru. Jakkoli se některé teoretické zdroje mohou zdát neaktuální, nelze je rozhodně zcela opomenout, protože jsou stále zavedeným a často referovaným základním kamenem v tomto odvětví. Druhá část práce sestává z empirické studie, která byla provedena za přispění studentů tlumočnictví a překladatelství. Studenti, kteří dobrovolně souhlasili s účastí na tomto výzkumu, byli požádáni, aby přetlumočili nahrávku a následně vyplnili dotazník s otázkami ohledně vnímání genderových stereotypů, a dále dotazník s hodnocením vlastního výkonu, čímž poskytli informace potřebné pro výzkum. Součástí této bakalářské práce je metodologie provedeného výzkumu, vyhodnocení nahrávek a dotazníků, a výsledky samotného výzkumu.This thesis considers the possibility of differences in the language creativity of the male and female interpreters based on their gender. The first part of this thesis, the theoretical part, covers the early stages of gender linguistics, its brief history, different approaches as presented by Robin Lakoff, Deborah Tannen, Mary Crawford, Janet Holmes, Jennifer Coates, and Ann Oakley, along with other well recognized linguists and scientists in the field, on how men and women use language, introducing the differences and explaining the reasons for such differences. However some sources can be considered outdated, these certainly should not be omitted, as they still provide a widely cited basis in this branch of linguistics. The thesis also provides with the basic terminology and theories set within the field of the study. The second part consists of empirical research conducted on the students of translation and interpreting studies. The students, who voluntarily agreed on posing as anonymous research subjects, were asked to interpret a recording, and subsequently to fill out a questionnaire on gender stereotypes and a self-evaluation questionnaire, thus providing information to serve as a basis for the purposes of the research. This thesis provides information on methodology of the conducted research, evaluation of the recordings and questionnaires, and the results of the research itself.
