Táto magisterská diplomová práca sa zaoberá tvorbou obrazu Hispánskej Ameriky v slovenských médiách. Oblasť výskumu je zameraná na mediálny diškurz dvoch slovenských internetových denníkov, ktorý súvisí s devätnástimi štátmi Hispanoameriky. Vychádza sa z teórie kritickej diskurzívnej analýzy, pretože určité prístupy tejto disciplíny sa zaoberajú vzťahom diškurzu a myslenia - ako diškurz ovplyvňuje myslenie, názory recipientov. Cieľom práce je na základe analýzy vybraných článkov popísať obraz Hispánskej Ameriky, ktorý nám je vybranými médiami podaný v priebehu roka 2014. V analýze sa identifikujú špecifické obsahy článkov ako geografické zastúpenie častí Hispánskej Ameriky a témy, o ktorých sa v súvislosti s danou oblasťou hovorí. Ďalej sú rozobrané používané diskurzívne stratégie a pozornosť je venovaná procesu nominácie, predikácie, argumentácie a perspektivizácie. V súhrne analýzy sú zaznamenané výsledky analýzy a v nadväznosti na teoretickú časť je popísaný vzniknutý obraz Hispanoameriky.This dissertation deals with the depiction of Hispanic America in Slovak media. The research section focuses on the media discourse of two Slovak online news sites regarding nineteen countries of Hispanic America. It is based on the theory of critical discourse analysis, because certain approaches within this discipline address the relationship of discourse and thought - how discourse influences the thinking and opinions of its receivers. The goal of the work is to describe the image of Hispanic America by analyzing its portrayal in our selected media outlets during the year 2014. The analytic section identifies specific contents of the articles, like the number of times certain geographical locations of Hispanic America are mentioned and the themes discussed in relation to those locations. In addition, it analyzes the usage of various strategies of discourse and attention is especially given to the process nomination, predication, argumentation, and perspectivation. The conclusion of the analytical section notes the results of the analysis and, in connection with the theoretical section, describes the created depiction of Hispanic America.
