Diplomová práce Berlínský herec Hermann Vallentin v Moravské Ostravě se zabývá obdobím let 19351938, která tento slavný berlínský divadelní a filmový herec, režisér, pedagog a kabaretiér strávil v Deutsches Theater Mährisch Ostrau. Základ práce tvořil rozsáhlý heuristický výzkum denního tisku, ve kterém byly dohledány zejména divadelní recenze inscenací, na kterých se Hermann Vallentin podílel, a další související články. Byl vytvořen dosud nezpracovaný soupis rolí i režií a vybrané herecké výkony a režie byly na základě novinových recenzí a odborné literatury podrobněji analyzovány. Výsledkem je především pokus o charakterizaci Vallentinova hereckého projevu ve vrcholném období jeho života, popsán byl rovněž jeho podíl na sbližování českých a německých divadelníků v Moravské Ostravě ve třicátých letech v ostravské pobočce Klubu českých a německých divadelních pracovníků.The diploma thesis Berlin Actor Hermann Vallentin in Moravská Ostrava tries to describe the period 19351938, in which was this famous Berlin theatre and film actor, director, pedagogue and cabaret artist engaged in Deutsches Theater Mährisch Ostrau. The most important part of work was comprehensive heuristic research in the daily press of that time, where mainly the theatre reviews of the Hermann Vallentin's performances and stagings, as well as other articles regarding this period of the Deutsches Theater Mährisch Ostrau were found. On the basis of the sources was created the list of Hermann Vallentin's roles and inscenations in Ostrava (so far not published) and selected roles and stagings were analyzed. The main objective is an attempt to characterize Vallentin's acting. Also his efforts in cooperation between Czech and German theatre artists in the Club of Czech and German Theatre Employees Moravská Ostrava were described.
