ANOTACE Tématem této bakalářské práce je "Úloha pokory v životě benediktinského mnicha". Kapitola o Pokoře je nedílnou součástí učení Řehole Benediktovy. V ní tvoří jádro celé knihy a zároveň je nejpropracovanější částí. Základním pramenem, z něhož celá práce vychází je "Regula Benedicti", čili Řehole Benediktova. Celá kapitola o Pokoře je postupně rozebrána na jednotlivé části a dána do kontextu především s komentářem k Řeholi Benediktově, jež vypracoval německý benediktin Georg Holzherr a dílem Smysl a duch Benediktovy řehole od Ildefonse Herwegena. Cílem, k němuž se práce snaží dospět, je zjištění, co znamená pokora pro život benediktina a jaké místo v něm zaujímá.RESUMÉ The topic of this bachelor´s work is "The role of humility in the Benedictine monk´s life". The Chapter of Humility is the inseparable part of the Rule of Benedict teaching. The heart of the entire book is being created in the chapter and also it is the most elaborated part of the book. The basic source for the whole work is the "Regula Benedicti". The whole Chapter of Humility is being gradually divided into the single verses and it is being given into the context with the comment of the Rule by German Benedictine Georg Holzherr and the writings The Rule of Benedicťs Sense and Spirit by Ildefons Herwegen. The aim of the work is to find what the humility means for the Benedictine´s life and what kind of place occupies in it.
