Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice umírání a smrti, konkrétně fázím a modelům, postojům, historii, rozdílností pohledů různých náboženství, paliativní péči, eutanazii a argumentům pro a proti. Metodika práce je zaměřena na porovnání získaných postojů k umírání a smrti mezi studenty oboru Sociální činnost a Zdravotnický asistent a odbornou veřejností.This thesis deals with the issue of death and dying, particularly the phases and patterns, attitudes, history and different religious perspectives on it, palliative care, euthanasia and arguments for and against it. The methodology aims at interlinking obtained results of attitudes about death and dying among students majoring in Social work and Medical assistant and professionals.
