Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou emotikonů a jejich využitím ve virtuálním prostředí. Práce má dvě části, přičemž v první teoretické části je představena nonverbální komunikace jako taková, dále je pozornost soustředěna na mimiku a její spojitost s emotikony a autor přibližuje i specifika internetové komunikace. Druhá část je praktická, autor analyzuje využití emotikonů v prostředí diskuzních fór, Facebooku a chatu.The diploma thesis deals with emoticons and their use in a virtual space. The thesis consists of two parts, the first theoretical part introduces nonverbal communication, further attention is focused on facial expressions and his link with emoticons, and author also describes the specifics of Internet communication. The second part is theoretical, the author analyzes the use of emoticons in an environment of forums discussion, Facebook and chat.
