Práce taktéž zahrnuje definici polytraumatu, jehož incidence prudce stoupá a také mechanizmy jejich vzniku. Dále jsou zde shromážděny informace o jednotlivých zobrazovacích metodách. Cílem práce je shrnout nejnovější poznatky z oblasti radiodiagnostiky u pacientů s polytraumatickým poraněním a vytvořit tak ucelený soubor informací.
