Bakalářská práce se zabývá identitou romských studentů vysokých škol. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je věnována pozornost teoriím a koncepcím identity, které se staly nezbytnou součástí této práce. Poté se zabýváme otázkou Romů jako takovou: historií, jazykem, kulturou a vybranými tradicemi, jež byly vybrány na základě výskytu četnosti v rozhovorech. Prostor je věnován i Ianu Hancockovi a jeho úvaze o romské identitě. Praktická část se zaměřuje na jedince a jeho pohledem na sebe sama, tedy identitou, a to prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu mezi romskými studenty vysokých škol. Pomocí narativního rozhovoru se snažíme zjistit, jaké složky identity měly vliv na samotnou sebeprezentaci jedince. Dalším okruhem je, zda a jakým způsobem, formuje identita jejich život v přítomnosti, případně jaký vliv na ně bude mít v budoucnosti. Zajímáme se i o opačný směr, tj. jaké byly klíčové myšlenky, události či vzory, které identitu ovlivnily.The Bachelor thesis deals with the identity of Roma university students. The work is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to theories and concepts of identity, which have become an essential part of this work. We occupy our self with The Roma as such: are a focus topic as well: their history, language, culture and traditions selected, on the basis of frequency in the interviews. Space is given to Ian Hancock and his consideration about Roma identity. The practical part focuses on the individual and his view of himself, i.e. their identity, by means of qualitative research among Roma university students. The aim is to figure out, by using narrative interviews, what components of identity had an impact on individual self-presentations. Another area is whether, and how, identity gives shape to their lives in the presence or what effect it will have in the future. The research topic went also in the opposite direction, ie. which were the key ideas, events or patterns that influenced identity.
