Bakalářská práce se zabývá komparativní analýzou překladatelských metod a postupů tří českých překladů díla The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus od anglického dramatika Christophera Marlowa. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí. Teoretická část práce si klade za cíl přiblížit život a dílo autora, seznámit s důvody jeho vzniku a analyzovaným dílem jako takovým. Dále také představuje překladatele srovnávaných překladů. Druhou část práce tvoří komparativní analýza českých překladů a původní předlohy, v některých případech doplněná o teoretické informace vztahující se k dané problematice. Závěr práce je věnován stručnému shrnutí, vyplývajícího z analýzy srovnávaných překladů.The present Bachelor's thesis comprises a comparative analysis of translation methods and strategies in three Czech translations of The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus by an English playwright Christopher Marlowe. This thesis is comprised of two larger units. The theoretical part aims to give some information about author's life and his literary output. Furthermore, it introduces Czech translators of analysed translations. The second part consists of the comparative analysis of Czech translations and the original text. In some cases, theoretical information related to the discussed topic is appended. In the conclusion of the thesis, a brief summary of analyzed translations is included.
