Diplomová práce se věnuje srovnání České Kanady a Jihlavských vrchů se zaměřením na lyžařskou turistiku. Porovnání proběhne na základě komparativní metody. Práce si klade za cíl popsat a porovnat jednotlivá kritéria zkoumaných oblastí. Hlavními kritérii pro porovnání jsou zimní běžecké trasy a infrastruktura služeb, potřebných k rozvoji lyžařského cestovního ruchu. Součástí práce jsou mapové podklady, které lépe vykreslí některé poznatky a skutečnosti o obou oblastech. Úkolem práce je také zjistit a interpretovat vybrané předpoklady cestovního ruchu ve zkoumaných oblastech, které utvoří ucelený pohled na atraktivnost regionů. Práce z hlediska teoretického poznání přináší přehled poznatků z cestovního ruchu, zimní turistiky a charakteristik České Kanady a Jihlavských vrchů. Výsledky práce ukazují, že oblast Jihlavské vrchy nabízí lepší možnosti lyžařské turistiky než v oblasti České Kanady.This thesis deals with comparison of Czech Canada and Jihlava hills regions with a focus on ski tourism. The research is based on comparative methods. The main goal of the thesis is to describe and compare individual criteria of the analyzed region. Cross country skiing tracks and the related service infrastructure, which is required for development of ski tourism, were chosen as the main evaluation criteria. Attached to this thesis are maps, which can better illustrate some fact about both regions. The goal is also to find out and interpret selected presumptions of tourist industry in the researched areas. This forms a coherent view on attractiveness of the regions. The thesis also offers a summary of theoretical findings about winter tourism and characteristic feature sof Czech Canada and Jihlava hills regions. The results of this thesis show, that the area of Jihlava hills offers better opportunities for ski tourism than the area of Czech Canada.
