Endokrinní orbitopatie (EO)je chronické oční onemocnění s prokázanou vazbou na tyroidální autoimunitu. Cílem práce bylo zjistit četnost postižení přímých okohybných svalů u pacientů s EO. Dalším cílem bylo verifikovat, zda stupeň protruze bulbu koreluje s tíží postižení přímých okohybných svalů. Porovnávali jsme hodnoty maximální šíře horizontálních okohybných svalů získané ultrasonograficky a pomocí magnetické rezonance. Cílem bylo zjistit, zda je korelace mezi těmito dvěma metodami měření ovlivněna fází onemocnění, tíží exoftalmu či zkušenostmi vyšetřujícího. Zjišťovali jsme procento pacientů s EO, kteří mají postiženy jen vertikální okohybné svaly.Thyroid-associated orbitopathy (TAO)is a chronic autoimmune disease with a proven connection to thyroid autoimmunity. The aim of the study was: to determine the frequency of extraocular rectus muscle involvement in patients with thyroid-associated orbitopathy (TAO) and to determine the correlation between the muscle involvement and exophthalmos values, to compare ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging measurements of horizontal eye muscle thickness in patients with thyroid-associated orbitopathy and to compare these measurements according to the phase of the disease, the severity of exophthalmos, and the experience of the investigator and to determine the percentage of TAO patients with only vertical extraocular recti muscles involvement.
