Tématem této bakalářské diplomové práce je lexikální analýza způsobu přepisu vlastních cizích jmen, konkrétně jmen zahraničních hlav států. Na počátku je vyslovena teze o využívání čínského znaku jako imanentního nositele významu k přepisu zahraničního jména způsobem, ve kterém se odrazí nejen fonetická stránka jména, ale také se v něm projeví určitý konotační význam odkazující k osobě nositele jména nebo k zemi, kterou reprezentuje. Pro potvrzení nebo vyvrácení teze byla vytvořena analýza, která musela být v první části práce teoreticky ukotvena. Nejprve byly výpůjčky rozděleny do kategorií podle způsobu převodu, poté byl osvětlen pojem nativizace, který s přejímáním cizích jazykových jednotek úzce souvisí a v závěru teoretické části byly blíže rozebrány pravidla fonetické a grafické adaptace morfémů, slov a slovních spojení z angličtiny do čínštiny. Praktická část se skládá ze 121 jmen a jejich čínských variant zahraničních prezidentů, králů, vůdců, panovníků, které jsou dle způsobu převodu do čínštiny rozděleny do čtyř kategorií výpůjček. Na základě důkazů vyplývajících z analýzy došlo v závěru k polemice o správnosti či nesprávnosti úvodní teze.The topic of this bachelor thesis is lexical analysis of borrowing method of foreign personal names, specifically foreign political leaders' names. At the beginning of the thesis there is a proposition settled about using the Chinese character as the immanent meaningful sign for transcription of foreign name in the way, which can reflect not only the phonetic aspect of the name, but in which can appear some connotative meaning referring to the person of that name, to the country that it represents. To verify or to falsify the hypothesis there was an analysis made which had to be theoretically supported in the first part of the paper. At first, the loanwords are divided into categories upon the methods of transcription, then there is an explanation of the term nativization, which is tightly connected with the lexical borrowing and in the end of the theoretical part the rules of phonetic and graphic adaptation of morphemes, words and phrases from English into Chinese are discussed. The second part consists of 121 names and their Chinese transcriptions of foreign presidents, kings, leaders, monarchs, which are divided into four categories of loanwords. In virtue of evidence resulting from the analysis there is a polemic in the conclusion about the rightness or not accuracy of the opening hypothesis.
