Práce je rozdělena do třech kapitol. V první kapitole je čtenář seznámen se vznikem kodexu bušidó a současně i s významným dílem Hagakure, které kodex bušidó takřka definuje. Zde se také čtenář poprvé dozvídá význam slov jako samuraj, rónin a je hlouběji obeznámen s problematikou rituální smrti samuraje tzv. seppuku. Na konci první kapitoly je též zmíněno důležité ovlivnění vzniku a vývoje kodexu japonským zenovým buddhismem. V druhé kapitole je čtenář blíže seznámen se samuraji a hodnotami provázejícími celý jejich život. Kromě těchto důležitých hodnot se zde může dočíst i o dokonalém bojovém umění samurajů a druzích jejich zbraní. V poslední, třetí kapitole, je čtenáři nastíněn vývoj kodexu bušidó v kontextu druhé světové války. Zde se dozvídá, jaké zbraně Japonci během války využívali a jaká byla jejich motivace pro zavedení Zvláštních úderných jednotek. Ke konci se zabývám skutečným dopadem této japonské taktiky boje a také s prolínáním hodnot kodexu bušidó do moderního vedení války.This thesis is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter the reader is familiar with the emergence of a code of bushido and also with an important piece of work called Hagakure, which practically defines the code of bushido. This is also the first time, when the reader learns about the meaning of words like samurai, ronin and is deeply acquainted with the issue of ritual death of samurai called seppuku. At the end of the first chapter is mention of the vital influence of Japanese Zen Buddhism on the emergence and development of the code of bushido. In the second chapter the reader will become familiar with the samurais and their values, which are important for their whole lives. Beyond these important values the reader can also read about samurai martial arts and their types of weapons for self-defence. The last, third chapter, delineates the emergence of the code of bushido in the context of the Word War II. The reader can learn here about the weapons which were used by the Japanese during the war and also about their motivations for compilation of the Special strike units. At the end the reader is acquainted with the real repercussion of this special Japanese war tactic and also with blending values from the code of bushido into the modern way of war.
