Tato práce se zabývá aspekty, které provází proces začlenění začínajícího školního psychologa na nové pracovní místo. Hlavní výzkumná otázka se ptala, na co by se ve své práci měl zaměřit začínající školní psycholog. Její obecná charakteristika byla specifikována pomocí dalších tří podotázek ptajíc se po okruzích práce školního psychologa: práce se třídami, spolupráce s učiteli a vliv specifik školního roku. Kvalitativní výzkumný plán byl zvolen neexperimentální orientační s nepravděpodobnostním záměrným výběrem respondentů. Ke sběru dat bylo realizováno 15 polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se školními psychology. Získaná data byla analyzována kvalitativní deskripcí. Z výsledků výzkumu vyplývá, že na začátku svého působení by se měl školní psycholog soustředit především na poznávání a seznamování se nejen se svými pedagogickými kolegy, vedením školy a třídami, ale také s charakterem a fungováním samotné vzdělávací instituce. Důležitá je přípravná fáze ještě před nástupem na pozici, během níž by si měl již aktivně získávat relevantní informace. Jedním z předpokladů jeho úspěšného začlenění jsou komunikativní a diplomatické dovednosti.This thesis deals with different aspects of the integration of a beginning school psychologist into their new position. The main question 'What should the focus of psychologists' work be at the beginning of their career?' was examined in the thesis with the help of three complementing questions. These questions were to investigate different fields of their work: programmes for individual classes, cooperation with teachers and the influence of the school year specifics. The research plan was chosen as non-experimental, general with non-probabilistic choice of respondents. Fifteen semi-structured interviews with school psychologists were realised. The data collected in these interviews were analysed by a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the research show that the school psychologist at the beginning of their career should mainly concentrate not only on meeting and getting familiar with their teacher colleagues, school management and the classes but also on familiarising with the general character and function of the educational institution. Preparatory stage before entering the position during which they should actively collect any relevant information about the institution is also very important. As the most notable preconditions of a successful integration into a new position, communicative and diplomatic skills were stated.
