Přehledová bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou terminální fáze nemoci s ohledem na aspekty, které ji ovlivňují. Předkládá publikované poznatky o komunikaci s umírajícím pacientem a jeho rodinou. Práce přináší informace o spiritualitě, duchovních potřebách, duchovní péči a její důležitosti na konci života. Dále se zaměřuje na vliv naděje a beznaděje na terminální fázi nemoci. Poznatky byly vyhledány v recenzovaných periodikách s impakt faktorem Journal of Palliative Medicine, Journal of Advanced Nursing, International Nursing Review, Medsurg Nursing, Oncology Nursing Forum, Paliative & Supportive Care a dalších. Z českých byly použity dva články z časopisu Československá psychologie a jeden z časopisu Kontakt.This overview bachelor thesis deals with the terminal phase of the disease with regard to the aspects that affect it. Submitted published findings about communication with the dying patient and his family. The paper provides information on spirituality, spiritual needs, spiritual care and its importance at the end of life. It also focuses on the influence of hope and despair to the terminal phase of the disease. The findings were searched in peer-reviewed journals with the impact factor Journal of Palliative Medicine, Journal of Advanced Nursing, International Nursing Review, Medsurg Nursing, Oncology Nursing Forum, Palliatives & Supportive Care and others. The Czech were two magazine articles Czechoslovak psychology and one of the Contact magazine.
