Student se bude v bakalářské práci věnovat interpretaci fiktivní seriálové postavy Johna Locka z amerického seriálu Ztraceni (Lost, 2004). Cílem bude nalézt možné souvislosti mezi konstrukcí postavy, její rolí a funkcemi ve vyprávění na jedné straně, a dílem filozofa Johna Locka na straně druhé. Smyslem práce bude tedy formulovat specifickou podobu procesu intertextuality v současné fikční televizi. Student bude ve své práci metodologicky vycházet z teorie konstrukce postavy (Richard Dyer, 1998), vybraných přístupů analýzy televizní formy (Jeremy Butler, 2007) a dalších naratologicky orientovaných konceptů. Analýza formy televizního seriálu bude vztažena k filozofickým konceptům Johna Locka, přičemž student za stěžejní považuje především spis Druhé pojednání o vládě a Esej o lidském rozumu.The student is going to do the interpretation of the fictional serial character John Locke from the American serial Lost (2004). The main aim is to find possibility connections between construction of character, his role and functions in narrative on the one hand, and the work of the philosopher John Locke on the other hand. The purpose of this work is to formulate a specific form of intertextuality in contemporary fictional television. The student is going to use the methodology from the theory of construction of character (Richard Dyer, 1998), selected attitudes of the analyse of television form (Jeremy Butler, 2007) and other narratology concepts. The analyse of television serial form is going to be connected with philosophy of John Locke. For the student the main works are The Second Treatise of Government and An Essay Concerning Human Understanding.
