Autor provede soupis římských mincí z 1. 4. století z území Olomouckého kraje (okresy Olomouc, Prostějov, Přerov, Šumperk a Jeseník) na základě publikací, archivních pramenů a muzejních fondů. Provede revizi nálezových okolností a určení jednotlivých mincí. Pokusí se soupis doplnit i o některé nové nálezy publikované na různých místech, event. o mince dosud nepublikované (v rámci možností a dostupnosti materiálu k nim shromáždí základní údaje). Na základě soupisu se bude dále věnovat rozboru mincí (typologie, chronologie, nominály/materiál). Podle nálezových okolností jednotlivých mincí bude charakterizovat jejich potenciální vztah k jednotlivým typům lokalit (ojedinělé, sídlištní, hrobové, jiné), resp. k soudobému osídlení z doby římské. Cílem práce bude určení významu římských mincí v rámci germánského osídlení Olomoucka a vymezení průběhu pravděpodobných komunikací zejména v regionech s absentujícím osídlením z doby římské. Práce bude doplněna obrazovou dokumentací mincí (fotografie, event. kresby), grafy, statistickými tabulkami a mapami.Author will create an inventory of Roman coins from 1st to 4th century AD found in the Olomouc region (districts of Olomouc, Prostějov, Přerov, Šumperk and Jeseník) based on pu-blications, archival materials and museum funds and collections. He will review the cir-cumstances of findings and identification of the individual coins. Author will attempt to reple-nish the inventory with new findings published in various places, as well with coins which were not published yet (based on availability of archived materials and he will collect the basic data eventually). Based on the inventory records he will focus on coin analysis (typology, chronology, denominations/material). According to the circumstances of the findings he will characterize potential relationship of the coins to the different types of sites (sporadic settlement, grave, others), resp. to contemporary settlement of Roman period. The aim of the thesis will be to determine the significance of Roman coins to the Germanic settlement of Olomouc and the definition of the more likely course of communication especially in regions without settlement during Roman period. The thesis will be supplemented by visual documentation of coins (photos, event. drawings), graphs, statistical tables and maps.
