Práce se věnuje problematice politické kultury. Nejprve jsem se zaměřila na samotný pojem politické kultury a jeho obsah, protože jedna všemi přijímaná definice tohoto pojmu neexistuje. Mým cílem bylo tedy nejprve vymezit obsah pojmu politická kultura a upřesnit tak rámec, do kterého je zasazena tato práce. Následně jsem se věnovala dosavadnímu výzkumu politické kultury jak v mezinárodní tvorbě, tak v českých společenských vědách. Představila jsem teoretickou konceptualizaci politické kultury Gabriela Almonda a Sidneyho Verby uvedenou v díle The Civic Culture. Tomuto dílu jsem se věnovala z toho důvodu, jelikož se stalo v oblasti výzkumu politické kultury zcela přelomovým. Dále jsem se zaměřila na výzkum a vývoj politické kultury v České republice. V této souvislosti jsem upozornila na diskontinuitu historického vývoje českého národa a politickou kulturu v rámci postkomunistické střední a východní Evropy. Na základě zjištěných poznatků a výzkumů veřejného mínění jsem poté zhodnotila stav současné politické kultury České republice a uvedla některé z jejích charakteristických rysů.The thesis deals with the matters of political culture. At first, I was focused on the term political culture alone, and also on its content because there is no universal definition of the term. The aim was to define the content of the term political culture and to specify the area this thesis covers. Then I was dealing with the existing research of political culture internationally but also in the Czech social matters. I introduced the theoretical concept of Gabriel Almond and Sidney Verba's political culture, mentioned in their work The Civic Culture. The reason I covered this piece was that it became a groundbreaking point in the terms of political culture research. Next, I focused on the research and evolution of political culture in the Czech Republic. In connection to that I pointed out the discontinuity of historical course of the Czech nation and political culture in the terms of post-communist central and east Europe. Based on the discovered findings and public research, I assessed the current situation of political culture in the Czech Republic, and I presented some of its characteristics.
