Práce se zabývá porovnáním vztahu Velké Británie a Evropského společenství, respektive Evropského unie, během vlád premiérů Margaret Thatcherové a Davida Camerona. Jako teoretický rámec používá tento text euroskepticismus. Práce i také klade za cíl najít společné body ale i rozdíly v evropských politikách těchto dvou předsedů vlád. Nejprve se zaměřuje na operacionalizaci a kategorizaci pojmu euroskepticismu. Poté popisuje přímo vládní období Margaret Thatcherové a Davida Camerona. Jsou zde uvedeny události, které se jich týkají, jejich názory a prostředí, ve kterém vládli. V případě Thatcherové jde o jednání o britském rabatu, Jednotném evropské aktu, či integrace v oblasti měnové politiky. U Camerona jde o vyjednávání o nových ekonomických nástrojích EU po krizi z roku 2008, volbě předsedy Evropské komise Jeana Clauda Junckera nebo jeho plán na renegociaci členských podmínek Spojeného království v EU. Poté práce tato data analyzuje a předkládá společné prvky těcho premiérů, rozdíly mezi nimi a kategorizaci jejich přístupů k evropské integraci.Thesis compares the relationship of Unites Kingdom and the European Community or the European Union during the governments of Prime Ministers Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron. Euroscepticism is used as a theoretical framework. Thesis aims to find common points and differences between the European policies of these two prime ministers. It focus on operationalization and categorization of the term euroscepticism. Then it directly describes periods of governments of Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron. There are the events in which they are involved, their opinions and the environment in which they ruled. The Thatcher's part includes the negotiation about the British rebate, the Single European Act or the integration of monetary policy. The Cameron's part contains the negotiations on the new EU instruments after the 2008 economic crisis, election of the President of the European Commission, Jean Claude Juncker, or his plan to renegotiation of UK member conditions in the EU. Then, this thesis analyzes the data and presents the common elements the policies iof these prime ministers, the differences between them and categorizes their approaches to European integration.
