Bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice vodicích psů a jejich významu pro osoby se zrakovým postižením. Teoretická část se zabývá zrakovým postižením obecně, nejběžnějšími klasifikacemi zrakového postižení, důsledky tohoto postižení, dále prostorovou orientací a samostatným pohybem. Velká část teoretické práce se věnuje problematice vodicích psů a procesu jejich výcviku, včetně legislativního a historického vymezení. V praktické části je, prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu, zjišťován význam vodicích psů pro osoby se zrakovým postižením. Zaměřen na tři oblasti, oblast praktickou, sociální a psychologickou.This thesis deals with the issue of guide dogs and their importance for people with different kinds of visual impairments. The theoretical part provides a general overview of various visual impairments, how they are most commonly classified and the consequences of such disorders, e.g. spatial orientation and independent movement. A large part of the theoretical section concerns itself with guide dogs and the training processes they undergo, including a legislative and historical definition of a guide dog. The practical part discusses the importance of guide dogs for people with visual impairments through a qualitative study. It focuses on the following three areas: practical considerations, social considerations and psychological considerations.
