Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat právní postavení ženy v římské rodině v určitých oblastech, především v rodinném právu. Jednotlivé instituty a životní situace jsou popsány z hlediska jejich vývoje v průběhu času. Zabývat se budu zejména vývojem právní úpravy římského manželství, dalších forem soužití muže a ženy, manželským majetkovým právem a postavením ženy ve veřejném prostoru. V práci popíši osobní i majetkové postavení římské ženy. Zaměřím se také na rozdíly mezi postavením žen a mužů.The goal of this diploma thesis is to analyze the legal status of woman in the Roman family in certain spheres, especially in the family law. Individual institutes and life situations are described in terms of their development in course of time. I will especially deal with the evolution of the Roman marriage, the other forms of cohabitation between man and woman, matrimonial property law and the status of woman in the public space. In the thesis I will describe personal and property standings of Roman woman. I will also focus on the differences between the status of women and men.
