Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je zjistit mezigenerační změny postojů ke stáří. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na stáří a postoji ke stáří. Je zde definován pojem postoj, funkce, vlastnosti a možné změny postojů. Práce se zabývá procesem stárnutí a stáří. Typickými tělesnými, psychickými a sociálními změnami, ke kterým v období stárnutí a stáří dochází. Popisuje možné teorie stárnutí, životní styl seniorů. Je zde uvedeno téma ageismus a možné zdroje tohoto předsudku vůči stáří. Poslední teoretickou částí diplomové práce jsou uvedeny výzkumy týkající se kvality života seniorů, názory mladých lidí na seniory a problematika ageismu. Praktická část diplomové práce pomocí sémantického diferenciálu zjišťuji postoje ke stáří u různých věkových kategorií a jejich změny v závislosti na věku.The main aim of this diploma thesis is to determine intergenerational changes in attitudes to ageing. The theoretical part focuses on age and attitude to old age. It describes the attitude, function, attributes and possible changes in attitudes. The thesis deals with the process of ageing and with old age. It inquires into physical, psychological and social changes that occur in the course of ageing and old age. The thesis describes possible theories of ageing and the life-style of old people. There is a reference to the topic of ageism and possible sources of this prejudice towards old age. The last section of the theoretical part of the thesis consists of stated studies concerning life quality of old people, opinions of young people on old people and the issue of ageism. By using the semantic differential the practical part of the diploma thesis inquires the attitudes towards ageing of different age categories and their changes depending on age.
