Tato diplomová práce se věnuje postavení a činnosti policejního orgánu v rámci přípravného řízení trestního před zahájením trestního stíhání a po zahájení trestního stíhání. V úvodu diplomové práce je popsáno, co je to přípravné řízení, jeho účel a význam, formy a orgány, které se přípravného řízení účastní. Následující kapitola se věnuje jednotlivým úkolům a postupům policejního orgánu při prověřování se zaměřením na zadržení osob podezřelých, obviněných, osobní a domovní prohlídky a jiné související úkony. Závěr této kapitoly je věnován způsobům vyřízení věci při skončení prověřování. V další kapitole jsou popsány úkoly a postupy policejního orgánu po zahájení trestního stíhání, tzn. v rámci vyšetřování, včetně způsobů skončení vyšetřování. Poslední část diplomové práce je věnována úvahám de lege ferenda.This thesis deals with the role and activities of the police authority within the purview of pre-trial in criminal proceedings before the ciminal prosecution and after the criminal prosecution. At the beginning of the thesis is described, what the preparatory procedure is, its purpose and meaning, forms and bodies, which they participate in pre-trial. The following chapter deals individual tasks and procedures of the police authorities in the examination focusing on the detention of suspects and accused persons, personal and house search and other related operations. Finally, this chapter is devoted to ways of dealing with the matter at the end of the scan. The next chapter describes the tasks and procedures of the police authority after the initiation of criminal prosecution, i.e. in the investigation, including how the investigation is completed. The last part of the thesis is devoted to reflection de lege ferenda
