Magisterská diplomová práce je monografickou studií tvorby předního českého exilového tvůrce animovaného filmu Paula Fierlingera s hlavním důrazem na autobiografické prvky, téma exilu a motiviku melancholie, osamělosti, a jednotlivých proměn exilové reality. Předmětem práce je vzájemná provázanost a srovnání životního příběhu a filmového díla Paula Fierlingera, a to prostřednictvím komplexního přístupu tří metodologických okruhů biografického výzkumu, neoformalistické filmové analýzy a auteurské teorie.The thesis is a monographic study of the leading Czech exile animator Paul Fierlinger with the main emphasis on autobiographical elements, the theme of exile and motives of melancholy, loneliness and various changes in the exile reality. Using a comprehensive approach of three methodological areas - biographical research, neoformalist film analysis and auteur theory, the object of this study is to compare the life story and film work of Paul Fierlinger and their interdependence.
