Chemická olympiáda je celosvětová soutěž s dlouholetou tradicí, která je určena pro žáky projevující zájem o chemii. Ve školním roce 2013/2014 slaví v České republice 50. výročí. Teoretická část bakalářské práce se podrobně zabývá historií, organizací a strukturou chemické olympiády několika vybraných států (ČR, USA, UK, Španělsko) a na olympiádu navazujících soutěží pořádaných na mezinárodní úrovni. V praktické části je pozornost věnována studiu náročnosti a obsahové stránky úloh chemické olympiády uvedených států, zejména úloh laboratorních. V diskuzi jsou tyto poznatky vyhodnoceny a uveden možný vliv rozdílné organizační i obsahové struktury chemické olympiády v různých zemích na úspěšnost jejich žáků v mezinárodní chemické olympiádě.The Chemistry Olympiad is a global competition with a long tradition, which is intended for students interested in chemistry. In the 2013/2014 school year, this competition is celebrating its 50th anniversary in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis details the history, organization and structure of the Chemistry Olympiad of a few selected countries (Czech Republic, USA, UK, Spain) and on the Olympiad follow-up competitions organized at the international level. The practical part focuses on the study of the difficulty and content of the Chemistry Olympiad tasks of those states, especially the role of the laboratory tasks. These findings are evaluated in the discussion and the possible influence of different organizational and content structure of the Chemistry Olympiad in different countries are stated based on the success of their students in the International Chemistry Olympiad.
