Bakalářská práce se zabývá interpretací ideových motivů ve filmu Prometheus. Vzhledem k tomu, že film pracuje s teologickými a filosofickými otázkami o tom, kdo jsme a kdo byl náš stvořitel, se práce zaměřuje na analýzu četných odkazů na sumerskou mytologii, výklad o stvoření světa ze Starého zákona, výklad z nového zákona a spekulativní vědecké teorie o vzniku světa, ze kterých tvůrce filmu čerpal. Práce je koncipována jako motivická analýza, která se bude zabývat konkrétními motivy a jejich symbolikou ve struktuře celého filmu. Primárním cílem je identifikovat základní ideové motivy převzaté z mytologie, náboženství a spekulativních teorií o vzniku lidstva a jejich interpretace v rámci světonázoru Ridleyho Scotta. Sekundárním cílem této práce je interpretovat za jakým účelem Ridley Scott tyto motivy využívá a jaká byla jeho ideová motivace, vedoucí k natočení filmu Prometheus. Krátce také zobecníme, jak režisér používá tyto motivy pro rozšíření či narušení konvencí žánru, nastolených filmem Vetřelec.The bachelor thesis deals with the interpretation of philosofical themes in the movie Prometheus. Because the film works with theological and philosofical questions about who we are and who was our creator, it focuses on the analysis of numerous references to Sumerian mythology, explanation of the Creation of the world based on Old Testament, New Testament interpretation and speculative scientific theories of the Creation of the world, which were the sources of inspiration of the film author. The thesis is composed as a motivic analysis, which would deal with specific motifs and symbolics in the structure of the film. the primary objective is to identify elementary ideological motifs taken from mythology, religion and speculative theories about the origin of the human race and their interpretation with the respect to Ridley Scotts world view. The secondary objektive of the thesis is to interpret the purpose of the usage of these motifs and what was the ideological motivation that led to making the Prometheus. We will also illuminate how Scot uses these motifs to extend or deconstruct genre convertions established by the Alien film.
