Předmětem této práce je neoformalistická analýza stylu ve filmu Pán prstenů: Návrat krále. Zaměřuje se na střihovou skladbu, kameru, zvuk a okrajově i speciální efekty, hlavně v sekvenci Bitva na Pelennorských polích. V druhé části je bitva porovnávána s finální bitvou filmu Letopisy Narnie: Princ Kaspian, za účelem nalezení podobných prvků a odhalení inspirace Narnie v Pánu prstenů. Práce se zabývá pojmem zesílená kontinuita a zkoumá jeho vliv na celkový styl snímku.Purpose of this Diploma thesis is neoformalist analysis of a style used in film The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Main focus is on editing, cinematography, mix of sound and marginally on special effects, used in sequence The Battle of the Pelennor Fields. In the second part the battle is compared to the final battle from movie Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, to look for similar components and try to find roots, if the Narnia is inspired by the Lord of the Rings. The work concerns a term Intensified Continuity and peruses its effect on overall style of the picture.
