Cílem této práce je nabídnout čtenáři přehledný úvod do problematiky chráněných oblastí. Hlavním tématem jsou kategorie chráněných území v České republice a Nizozemsku. Nejprve je popsán vývoj chráněných území v České republice a Nizozemsku do dnešní doby. Dále se práce zaměřuje na Evropské zákony související s chráněnými územími a aplikaci této legislativy do zákonů daných zemí a zároveň porovnává současné zákony České republiky a Nizozemska. V následující kapitole je uveden bližší popis chráněných oblastí, především národních parků a chráněných krajinných oblastí, v obou zemích. Nakonec jsou porovnávány dvě konkrétní oblasti a to Český ráj z České republiky a Graafschap z Nizozemska z hlediska turismu.The aim of this thesis is to offer readers a lucid introduction to the issue of protected areas. The main theme is categories of protected areas in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The first I describe the development of protected areas in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands until today. Further I focuse on the European law related to protected areas and the application of this legislation to the laws of both countries. Furthermore, this chapter compares the current laws of the Czech Republic and the Netherlands. The following chapter provides a detailed description of the protected areas, especially national parks and Protected Landscapes in both countries. Finally, there are the two specific areas namely Český ráj of the Czech Republic and Graafschap the Netherlands in terms of tourism.
