Cílem předkládané diplomové práce je popsat výkon a kontrolu alternativních sankcí a opatření uložených dospělým odsouzeným pachatelům. Práce také objasňuje význam restorativní justice pro trestní politiku. Předkládá fakta, která jsou pro omezení ukládání trestu odnětí svobody. Pozornost je zaměřena také na vývoj trestání, které postupem času změnilo svou podobu, co se týče pojetí trestu a jeho účelu. V souvislosti s nutností vytvoření institutu, který by dohlížel na výkon a kontrolu alternativních trestů, práce popisuje též vznik a celkovou úlohu Probační a mediační služby ČR při práci s oběťmi a pachateli trestných činů.The aim of presented Master Thesis is to describe the course and control of alternative methods of sanctions and provisions towards convicted fellons. The study also clarifies the meaning and purpose of restorative justice system for criminal policy. It shows facts that are in favour of a limitation of prison sentences. It also focuses on the development of punishment system, which has evolved throughout the history regarding our reception of the punishment and its desireable effect. Concerning the need to create an institution that would observe and control alternative punishments, the thesis also describes the establishment and whole purpose of Probation and mediation service of the Czech Republic while working with victims and offenders.
