Diplomová práce se zabývá hospitalizací seniorů v nemocniční péči. Zkoumá dva významné jevy, a to délku hospitalizace a místo dalšího pobytu seniorů po ukončení péče na Interní klinice Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava. V práci bylo definováno sedm rizikových faktorů a byl zkoumán jejich negativní vliv na délku hospitalizace a institucionalizaci seniorů. Teoretická část práce přináší přehled aktuálních poznatků o problematice seniorů, péče o ně a vymezuje jednotlivé rizikové faktory. V praktické části je realizován výzkum na souboru seniorů ve věku 75 let a více a stanovené hypotézy jsou podrobeny statistickému zpracování. Autor se pokusil o komplexnější pohled na vlivy působící na hospitalizované seniory, jedná se však o problematiku velmi složitou a autor si je vědom potřeby pokračujícího výzkumu, který by přinesl další výsledky.The diploma thesis deals with hospitalization of seniors in hospital care. It investigated two significant phenomena ? the length of hospitalization and the place where seniors stay after the care at Internal Medicine Clinic of University Hospital Ostrava is finished. In the thesis, seven risk factors were defined and their negative influence on the duration of hospitalization and institutionalization of seniors was investigated. The theoretical part provides an overview of current knowledge of the issue of seniors and care for them and it delimits individual risk factors. In the practical part, a research with a set of seniors aged 75 and over is realized and set hypotheses are statistically processed. The author attempted more complex view of the effects influencing hospitalized seniors, however, the issue is very complicated and the author is aware that continuing research, which would provide further results, is required.
