Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje širšímu srovnání postavení jáhna při liturgii v latinském a byzantsko-slovanském ritu, společným i rozdílným rysům a celkovému zhodnocení služby jáhna, jejíž těžiště sice primárně není pouze při službě u stolu, ale přesto právě tam, má své nezaměnitelné postavení. Tento výklad liturgie vzhledem ke službě jáhna u obou výše jmenovaných ritů si vytkl za skromný cíl představení diakonské služby při mešní liturgii dle současné agendy na našem území po II. vatikánském koncilu.The goal of my work was to present and explain the service of deacon at the mass liturgy in Latin and Byzantine-Slavonic Rite. The work is divided into three chapters. The first one presents the minister service in the Church and the deaconate which is its part, and also a short historical digression at both the rites in the Czech Republic, especially after the Second Vatican Council, shortly touches the iconology of the deacon service and at the end it mentions contemporary ritual aspect of entrusting the deacon service. The second chapter is concerned with the liturgy explanation according to the liturgy agenda of the Czech Republic area and it is the main body of the work. It tries to point out the elements of liturgy that come from the same tradition. The third chapter talks about theology of deaconate and asks questions and gives answers to who really deacon is, what should his image be like, what are the characteristics of his service and what are the possible perspectives of this service in future. The work proved that the service of deacon is unmistakable in the Church and reminds us of Christ ? the servant who is the main holder of this charisma of service. It is the liturgy that clearly reflects this dimension in both above mentioned cultural traditions.
