Předmětem této diplomové práce je objasnění instituce manželství i nemanželského soužití z hlediska legislativy, z hlediska psychologie a sociologie. Práce přináší výsledky sociologických průzkumů, které na tato témata probíhaly, poznatky odborníků na problematiku manželství, stability rodiny, příčin rozvodovosti, odkládání sňatků, volného soužití, postavením manželství v životních plánech mladých lidí. Nahlíží do nedávné historie manželství, uzavírání sňatků, významu manželství pro jednotlivce i společnost a přibližuje pohlížení společnosti na svobodné matky a nemanželské děti. V praktické části interpretuje výsledky anketního šetření na téma výhod a nevýhod manželství, které spatřuje současná populace.The subject of this thesis is to clarify the institution of marriage and marital partnerships in terms of legislation, in terms of psychology and sociology. The thessis presents results of sociological surveys conducted on these issues, the findings of experts on the issues of marriage, family stability, causes of divorce, postponing marriage, free cohabitation, marriage status in the life plans of young people. The thessis looks into the recent history of marriage, getting marriage process, importance of marriage to individuals and society and brings view of society on single mothers and illegitimate children. In the practical part it interprets the results of questionnaire on the advantages and disadvantages of marriage that the current population sees.
