Tato práce spadá do oblasti filmové adaptace literárního díla. Cílem práce je analýza adaptačního procesu knihy Audrey Niffenggerové Zakletý v čase (The Time Traveler's Wife, 2003) u stejnojmenného filmu režiséra Roberta Schwentkeho (2009). Cíl práce bude metodicky naplněn přes koncept Briana McFarlana z práce Novel to film, který v rámci teorie adaptace pracuje s pojmy transfer - prvky spjaté s narativem, které mohou být lehce přeneseny do filmu; a vypovídání (enuntiation) - prvky úzce související se sémiologickým systémem, které potřebují vlastní adaptaci. Jak kniha, tak film Zakletý v čase dosud nebyly v českém prostředí předmětem odborné reflexe. Přínos této práce spočívá v prvním uceleném rozboru těchto děl.This thesis slopes to the category of film adaptations of literature texts. The aim of the thesis is to make an analysis of adaptation process of the book The Time Traveler?s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and a film of the same name by director Robert Schwentke. The aim of the thesis will be achieved by methodological concept of Brian McFarlane, which he introduced in the book Novel to film. McFarlane uses terms of transfer and enunciation. Elements of the text, which can be translated to the film, belong to transfer; the rest of them need an adaptation proper. Nor the novel, nor the film has been yet the subject of the professional reflection. The value of this thesis lies in the first integrated analysis of these pieces.
