Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám pozicí Romů v Nizozemsku a České republice. Začátek mé práce je věnován seznámení se s Romy jako s etnickou menšinou. Jsou zde dále základní informace o jejich původu, historii, kultuře, systému uvnitř společnosti, zvyklostech, hodnotách a normách. Další kapitola pojednává o pozici Romů v minulosti jak v Nizozemsku, tak v České republice. Tato část má za úkol čtenáře seznámit s nejdůležitějšími událostmi, které předcházely jejich současné situaci. V následujících dvou kapitolách pojednávají o současné situaci Romů v Nizozemsku a České republice. Zaměřuji se zde na čtyři konkrétní oblasti, jenže mají na pozici Romů vliv, a to na jejich integraci, vzdělání, postavení na trhu práce a úroveň bydlení. V poslední kapitole porovnávám čtyři zmíněné oblasti a poukazuji na shody či odlišnosti v problematice dané oblasti mezi Nizozemskem a Českou republikou. Na základě porovnání jednotlivých bodů se pak v závěru pokusím stanovit, která země je v integraci Romů úspěšnější.In my thesis I deal with the position of Roma in Netherlands and Czech Republic. The beginning of my thesis is devoted to introduction Roma as an ethnic minority. There are basic information about their origin, history and culture, system within society, habits, values and norms. The second chapter deals with the position of the Roma in the past in the Netherlands and also in the Czech Republic. This part has the task introduce the reader the most important events that preceded their current situation and could have an impact on it. The following two chapters contain the same points. In both chapters I deal with four specific areas, which extensively influences the position of the Roma, it is integration, level of education, labor market outcomes and level of living. In the last chapter I compare the four mentioned areas of the two previous sections and point out the conformity issues or differences in each area between the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. In the conclusion, based on the comparison between individual points, I will try to determine which country is more successful in Roma integration.
