Ve své diplomové práci jsem se zabývala ústavním systémem Spojených států amerických a jeho vývojem. Cílem mé práce byla snaha nastínit historicko-politické okolnosti, které umožnily ústavnímu systému Spojených států amerických, aby se vyvíjel tak, jak se vyvíjel. I proto jsem začátek své práce věnovala už britské kolonizaci Severní Ameriky a jednotlivým anglickým koloniím a jejich správě. Následně jsem neopomněla ani důvody, které anglické kolonie donutily k tomu, aby se od své mateřské země odtrhly a nastoupily cestu ke své nezávislosti. Kromě popisu Deklarace nezávislosti pak obsahuje má práce i popis a zhodnocení první ústavy Spojených států - Článků Konfederace, které později, z důvodu značných nedostatků, nahradila dodnes platná Ústava Spojených států z roku 1787. Ústavě Spojených států amerických a jejím změnám se pak věnuje zbylá část mé práce.In this thesis I dealt with the american constitutional system and its development. The aim of my dissertation is to outline the historical and political circumstances, that allowed the american constitutional system develop as it did. Therefore I devoted the beginning of my thesis to early british colonization, individual English colonies and their administration. Subsequently I did not forget to mention reasons that forced the English colonies to break away from their home country and take the path of independence. Besides the description of the Declaration of Independence my thesis contains the description and evaluation of the first constitution of the United States - of the Articles of Confederation, which were later replaced with the Constitution of the United States of America from 1787. The rest of my thesis is dedicated to the Constitution of the United States od America from 1787 and its amendments.
