Výchozí platformou disertační práce Současné ruské drama v českém translatologickém kontextu s podtitulem Vliv překladatelských přístupů na recepci a apercepci současných ruských dramat v českém kulturním prostoru na základě srovnávací analýzy vybraných divadelních her jsou vybrané divadelní hry napsané v ruštině v období od druhé poloviny 80. let 20. století (po přestavbě v Rusku) do roku 2010 a jejich překlady do češtiny. Práce mapuje, do jaké míry je obraz o současné ruské dramatické tvorbě v Česku vytvářen a ovlivněn překladatelem a jakou roli hraje překladatel v následném přijetí či nepřijetí dramatika v české divadelní tvorbě a překladové literatuře. Zaměřuje se také na to, jaká díla si ze současné dramatické tvorby v Rusku čeští překladatelé vybírají a s jakým ohlasem se tato díla v Česku setkávají. Nakolik stojí za případným úspěchem či neúspěchem autor a dílo samo a do jaké míry se na jeho kladném či spíše chladném přijetí podílí kvalita překladu. Práce se zabývá také tím, do jaké míry je překlad dramatického textu ovlivněn překladatelovou znalostí či neznalostí divadelního prostředí a inscenačních postupů.The dissertation thesis entitled "Contemporary Russian drama in the Czech Translatological Context" with the subtitle "The Influence of the Translation Approaches on the Reception and Apperception of Contemporary Russian Plays in the Czech Cultural Space. Comparative Analysis of Theatrical Plays." concentrates on the chosen Russian plays written in the selected period (the second half of 1980s (after the "perestrojka" in Russia) - 2010) and their Czech translations. The thesis maps the role of the translator in the creation of the picture of contemporary Russian drama in the Czech Republic and explores the question of acceptance or refusal of the chosen playwright in the Czech theatrical system and translated literature. The thesis also examines why specific Russian plays are chosen by the Czech translators and how successful these pieces of work are in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis presents the dispute over the question whether the potential success or failure of the play and its author is determined by the play itself or what role does the translation quality play in the positive or negative acceptance of the author and/or his/her play. Finally, the thesis discusses how much is the translation of theatrical plays influenced by the translator´s knowledge of the theatre and its rules and the staging procedure.
