Práce si klade za cíl charakterizovat rekreační potenciál Krušných hor a na pozadí společensko-politického vývoje v Čechách a v Sasku zmapovat historický vývoj jeho využívání. Zabývá se geomorfologickými a přírodními specifiky oblasti, historií vzájemných vztahů mezi sousedními národy, působením spolků a turistických organizací v regionu. Na základě prostudované historické a současné literatury, rozhovorů se zástupci obcí, informačních středisek, spolků a subjektů podnikajících v incomingovém cestovním ruchu popisuje historii a současnost využívání rekreačního potenciálu Krušných hor. Závěrečná SWOT analýza vytyčuje kroky nutné pro další rozvoj.The work aims to characterize the recreational potential of the Ore Mountains and to map the historical development of its use on the background and socio-political developments in Bohemia and Saxony. It deals with the specifics of the geomorphological and nature areas, the history of relations between neighbouring peoples, activities of societies and tourist organizations in the region. Based on studies of historical and contemporary literature, interviews with representatives of municipalities, information centers, associations and the incoming tourism enterprises it describes the history and present use of the Ore Mountains recreational potential. Final SWOT analysis outlines the steps necessary for further development.
