Disertační práce se zabývá alternativním způsobem léčby drogové závislosti realizovaným v centru Takiwasi, terapeutické komunitě pro drogově závislé. Takiwasi se nachází v peruánské Amazonii a léčba zde vychází ze dvou zdánlivě odlišných paradigmat - soudobé psychologie a tradičního amazonského léčitelství (šamanismu, curanderismu), která se vzájemně doplňují a podporují. Jedním ze základních pilířů léčby je i užívání rostlin s psychoaktivním účinkem (zejména halucinogenní liány ayahuasky). Výzkum byl realizován během 10ti měsíční stáže autorky práce v tomto centru. Jeho cílem bylo zjistit, jak se v průběhu léčby vyvíjí vztah pacientů k sobě samému a s jakými faktory tento proces souvisí. Jedná se o kvalitatitivně-kvantitativní výzkum, který je koncipován jako zakotvená teorie. Výzkum kombinuje na různých úrovních různé výzkumné metody - skládá se ze 3 částí - obsahové analýzy spisů bývalých pacientů (N=86), případových studií (N=5) a dotazníkového šetření (N=17). Na základě výsledků výzkumu byla formulována teorie o procesu formování vztahu k sobě v průběhu léčby v Takiwasi.Thesis deals with an alternative treatment of drug addiction realized in the Takiwasi center, a therapeutic community for drug addicts. Takiwasi is located in the Peruvian Amazon and the treatment here is based on two seemingly different paradigms -contemporary psychology and traditional Amazonian medicine (shamanism, curanderismo), which are complementary and supportive. One of the basic elemnets of the treatment is the use of plants with psychoactive effect (especially hallucinogenic vine ayahuasca). Research was conducted during the 10 month author´s internship in this center. Its aim was to determine how the relationship with oneself develops during treatment and what factors are related to this process. It is a qualitative-quantitative research, which is conceived as grounded theory. The research combines the various levels of different research methods - consists of 3 parts ? a content analysis of the folders of former patients (N=86), case studies (N=5) and a questionnaire survey (N = 17). On the base of the research results there was formulated theory about the buiding a relation to oneself in the process of the treatment in Takiwasi center.
