Podle šestifaktorového modelu osobnosti HEXACO, z nějž tato práce vychází, vystihuje osobnost člověka nejlépe šest dimenzí, které mohou sehrávat zásadní roli ve formování interpersonálního chování a na jejichž základě lze odhadovat budoucí chování člověka. Klademe si za cíl určit typické osobnostní vlastnosti (měřeno Osobnostním inventářem HEXACO) a sociální dovednosti (měřeno Inventářem sociálních dovedností) u souboru 144 studentů Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci a stanovit, ve kterých aspektech sociální inteligence a dimenzích osobnosti se studenti a studentky liší. Dále aspirujeme na určení těsnosti vztahů mezi šesti dimenzemi osobnosti a komponentami sociální inteligence. Zjišťujeme, že zatímco v celkové výši sociální inteligence skórují studenti obou pohlaví přibližně stejně, signifikantní rozdíly jsou v její struktuře. Pokud jde o faktory osobnosti, diference mezi pohlavími se týkají jak míry, tak struktury faktorů. Také zjišťujeme signifikantní korelace mezi faktory HEXACO a škálami sociální inteligence. Jde zejména o faktor emocionalita a škály sociální vnímavost a emoční kontrola; faktor extraverze a škály sociální vyjadřování a sociální kontrola; a faktor otevřenost vůči zkušenosti a škálu sociální kontrola.According to the HEXACO six-factor personality model, on which this thesis is based, the personality of a person is captured the best by the six dimensions that can play essential role in shaping the interpersonal behaviour and constitute the base to estimate the person's future behaviour. Our goal is to determine typical personality traits (as measured by the HEXACO Personality Inventory) and social skills (as measured by the Social Skills Inventory) at a set of 144 students of the Palacký University Olomouc and to define in which aspects of social intelligence and personality dimensions male and female students differ. Further we aim at ascertaining the degree of closeness of the relationships among the six personality dimensions and the social intelligence components. We can see that while students of both genders score approximately identically in total score social intelligence, there are significant differences in its structure. As for personality factors, the gender differences concern both the degree and the structure of the factors. We can also see significant correlations between the HEXACO factors and the social intelligence scales. It is particularly the factor of emotionality and the scales of social sensitivity and emotional control; the factor of extraversion and the scales of social expressivity and social control; and the factor of openness to experience and the scale of social control.
