Diplomová práce se zabývá souvislostmi mezi Snyderovou teorií naděje a životní smysluplností reprezentovanou smyslem pro soudružnost a existenciálním naplněním v pojetí logoterapie a existenciální analýzy. V teoretické části práce jsme nastínili obecnou problematiku smyslu života a jeho vlivu na duševní pohodu a strategie zvládání stresu, přičemž jsme se blíže zmínili o smyslu pro soudružnost (SOC). Následně jsme se zabývali logoterapií a existenciální analýzou, Snyderovým pojetím naděje a možnými souvislostmi mezi ní a oblastí smyslu života. Poté jsme se vyjádřili k fenoménu vynořující se dospělosti. V empirické části práce jsme ověřovali stanovené hypotézy o existenci vztahu mezi nadějí a smyslem pro soudružnost a mezi nadějí a existenciálním naplněním. Jako typ výzkumu jsme zvolili korelační studii realizovanou skrze dotazníkové šetření. Použité metody představovaly Škála naděje, Dotazník SOC a ESK. Výzkumný soubor byl sestaven na základě účelového výběru a tvořilo jej 166 studentů prvních ročníků OPF Slezské univerzity v Opavě a studentů psychologie na FF UP v Olomouci. Potvrdil se předpoklad o existenci signifikantní souvislosti mezi nadějí a SOC i mezi nadějí a existenciálním naplněním měřeným ESK. Dále byla prokázána existence signifikantní souvislosti mezi nadějí a sebepřesahem. Subškála naděje cesta, podle předpokladu, statisticky významně korelovala se zvládnutelností v SOC a svobodou v ESK. Subškála naděje snaha signifikantně korelovala se smysluplností v SOC a odpovědností v ESK.The thesis deals with connections between Snyder's hope theory and meaningfulness in life represented by sense of coherence and an existential fulfillment in terms of logotherapy and existential analysis. Firstly, we outlined general issues of meaning in life and its influence on well-being and coping strategies and we focused more closely on sense of coherence (SOC). Then we dealt with logotherapy and existential analysis, Snyder's hope theory and possible connections between hope and the field of meaning in life. Afterwards we commented on a phenomenon of emerging adulthood. We were verifying defined hypotheses about an existence of a relationship between hope and sense of coherence and between hope and an existential fulfillment in the empiric part of the thesis. We chose as a type of a research a correlational study that was put into practise through a questionnaire survey. The Adult Dispositional Hope Scale, The SOC Scale and the Existence Scale represented the applied methods. The research population was formed by a purpose-based selection and it included 166 first-year students of School of Business Administration of Silesian University in Opava and students of psychology from Faculty of Arts of Palacky University in Olomouc. There was confirmed an assumption of an existence of a significant connection between hope and SOC and also between hope and an existential fulfillment measured by the ES. There was also confirmed an assumption of a significant connection between hope and self transcendence. Pathway thinking, a part of hope, was according to a hypothesis significantly related to manageability from SOC and also to freedom from the ES. Agency, a part of hope, was significantly related to meaningfulness from SOC and also to responsibility from the ES.
