Tato práce se zabývá překládáním odborných textů z angličtiny do češtiny, přičemž se zaměřuje na texty z oblasti automobilního průmyslu. Nejprve se zabývá problematikou stylistiky - ze stylistického hlediska definuje základní charakteristické rysy odborného stylu. Na rovině lexikální nás seznamuje s odbornými termíny a použitím akronymů. Rovina syntaktická je zastoupena analýzou pasiva, postavení tématu a rématu ve větě. Další jazykový plán, rovina textová, poukazuje na nadvětnou soudržnost v rámci odstavců a vyšších celků, dále pak na horizontální a vertikální členění textu a grafické úpravy. Pragmatický aspekt bere v potaz především výběr vhodného lexika v analyzovaném textu, zmíněna je i problematika interference a překladatelovy znalosti oboru. Stejně tak není opomenuta konečná úprava překladu a problematika korektur. V praktické části je uvedena analýza jednotlivých překladatelských řešení a hodnocení analyzovaného textu s jeho klady i zápory.This thesis focuses on the translation of technical texts from English into Czech and it specializes in analyzing a text from the field of automotive industry. It deals with stylistics first - it defines the basic characteristic features of the technical style from the stylistic point of view. On the lexical level it introduces terms and use of acronyms. The syntactic level is represented by an analysis of passive voice, position of theme and rheme in the sentence. Another linguistic level, text level, refers to compactness within paragraphs and higher segments, it deals with horizontal and vertical segmentation of the text and a graphical layout. Pragmatic aspect focuses on using appropriate vocabulary in the analyzed text; interference and translator´s knowledge of the field of translation are mentioned as well. The final proofreading of the translation is also introduced. There is a practical analysis of individual translation solutions as well as the assessment of the analyzed translation with its pros and cons.
