Cílem této práce je srovnání filmové adaptace s románovou předlohou díla Tristana. V práci se zaměřuji na problematiku filmové adaptace a uvádím názory mnohých kritiků, kteří se adaptacemi zabývají. Dále se snažím ukázat, že film může být rovněž plnohodnotným dílem, jako je kniha. Sama reaguji na obě tato díla a vyzdvihuji jak klady spisovatele, který zachytil ženu ne tak moc typickou právě pro 19. století, tak i režiséra, který ve filmu ponechal některé základní rysy originálu, ale zároveň použil osobitý přístup, čímž obohatil kinematografickou tvorbu svými nápaditými prvky.The aim of this work is the comparison of the film adaptation to the novel Tristana. I'm heading to the problems of the film adaptation in the work and present the opinions of many critics who deal with the film adaptation. Further I try to show that the film can be fully adequate work just as the book. Me on my own react to both of these works and highlight as the pros of the writer who drew the woman not such typical for the 19th century, such as the director who kept the basic features of the novel in the film. On the other hand he used his personal attitude in the same time so he enriched the cinematography by his own imaginative components.
