Práce pojednává o hnutí mesiánských židů, které se během posledních desetiletí velmi rozšířilo, a to nejprve na území USA a poté i v dalších státech, zvláště v Izraeli. Nejedná se o vznik něčeho nového, ale o znovuobjevení toho, co zde bylo již v počátcích církve. Schisma mezi Izraelem a Ježíšovou církví bylo základem všech schizmat mezi různými církvemi, která následovala. Jeho nejzávažnějším důsledkem bylo vymizení církve nesoucí znamení obřízky, čili církve, která byla a nadále zůstává místem, kde Boží požehnání dané Abrahamovi přechází na národy. Církve mesiánských židů, pevně napojené na své vlastní židovské kořeny a soustředěné na tajemství Izraele a jeho obnovení, rozpoznávají v Ježíši Mesiáše Izraele a Božího Syna, spatřujíce v něm naplnění biblických zaslíbení. V tomto kontextu tvoří přemostění a nástroj smíření mezi židy a křesťany. To, že se hnutí mesiánských židů objevilo, je vysvětlitelné na dějinné a společenské rovině, nicméně pro věřícího člověka je tato skutečnost předzvěstí dovršení Božího zaslíbení duchovního obnovení Izraele. Mesiánští židé jsou historickými i současnými svědky vnitřní kontinuity mezi Izraelem a církví a mezi První (Starou) a Druhou (Novou) smlouvou.This study examines the Messianic-Jewish movement which has become widespread in recent decades, mainly in the USA and then in other nations, especially Israel. This appearance is not new but rather it is a reappearance of something that was present at the beginning of the Church. The schism between Israel and the Church of Jesus is the source of all subsequent schisms between the different Churches. The most serious consequence was the disappearance of the Church of the circumcision, a Church that was and remains the place where the blessing of Abraham passes to the nations. The Messianic-Jewish Churches who are closely bound to their own Jewish roots and centered on the mystery of Israel and its restoration, recognise Jesus, the Messiah of Israel and the Son of God as the fulfillment of the biblical promises. This is the context in which these churches place themselves as a bridge and as an instrument of reconciliation between Jews and Christians. This appearance can be explained using historical and social categories, but for the believer it preannounces the fulfilment of the divine promise of the spiritual restoration of Israel. Messianic Jews are in fact both historic and current witnesses of the intrinsic continuity between Israel and the Church and between the First and Second Covenant.
